Mission: Kids

“We serve, without expecting anything in return.”

“I think God is trying to tell me something.”

“It was so much more fun than I expected, and I think I’ll go again.”

These are a few of the quotes from our 3rd through 6th graders who participated in Mission: Kids, July 18-21. We met church members at Shannondale. We visited Knox Area Rescue Ministries. We prayed at the CHOP House. We cleaned the Ronald McDonald House inside and out. We prepared for 1200 kids at Knoxville Inner City Kids Outreach to go back to school. In total, 1890 members of our community were impacted by this mission week. Most of all, we learned from Micah 6:8, what it means to “act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.”
