Second Presbyterian understands our mission as the bringing of people to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We do this in part by supporting those in the Mission fields with our time and budget.
Mission Emphasis
Second Presbyterian Church believes in and proclaims a living God that is bigger than the city of Knoxville; a God who calls us to take the good news of the Gospel into all the lands, as well as to support those who are caring for the people of the world in the name of Jesus Christ.
At present, Second Presbyterian Church partially supports four missionary families each year through the annual mission budget of the church, and other funds.
We also partner yearly with a number of these missionaries to provide opportunities for mission involvement among the members of our congregation.
Second Presbyterian Church seeks to obey Christ’s Command to “Go into the World.”
