Kathryn Paden | Church Administrator

admin@2ndpres.org

Kathryn Paden is originally from Knoxville (Central HS grad), holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Tennessee Wesleyan University, and is now a local performer, recitalist, and church musician. She enjoys choral singing and performing in local theatres (fun fact…she met Pastor Tim while in the cast of 9 to 5 at Oak Ridge Playhouse in 2019!), and is now in her 4th season with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra as the narrator for Musical Story Time, as well as a frequent performer in the KSO’s education and holiday concerts.

Kathryn comes to our staff straight from Christ United Methodist Church in North Knoxville where she served at their Executive Assistant for 7 1/2 years, overseeing the majority of administrative support duties and all church communications. Prior to that, she has worked in public education and university housing. For the past 15 years she has also been a voice teacher and has used SPC in the past few years as the space for student recitals with Matt Mimbs at the piano! She is a longtime member/singer of both the Knoxville Choral Society and Knoxville Chamber Chorale, as well as the Amadeus Chamber Ensemble, a professional chorus that performs in Knoxville at various times.

Kathryn’s longtime church home is Fountain City United Methodist Church where she serves in multiple ways as a parishioner. She is also a twin sister, aunt of 3, and crazy cat mom to Margaret Rose (of whom you will see many pictures in the office!). She enjoys the complexity and compassion behind church work and is happy to be serving you here at SPC!
